Development of Local Wisdom Based Learning Material “Batik Tulis Tanjung Bumi Madura” to Support Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

Abstract

This research aims to describe and produce teaching materials using the local wisdom context of Tanjung Bumi Madura batik to support Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This type of research is descriptive research to explain teaching materials developed to support ESD. There are three teaching materials developed, namely (1) electronic module Batik Tulis Tanjung Bumi Madura untuk Mendukung ESD, (2) module Pembuatan Batik Gentongan Tanjung Bumi Madura, (3) booklet IPA Mangrove Sebagai Pewarna Alami Batik Madura. These three teaching materials were developed using 4D model consisting of Define, design, development, Disseminate. This research focuses on discussing the development stage which discusses feasability, readability, and student’s respons of teaching materials. The feasibility of teaching materials was obtained based on the results of expert validation, readability and student’s respons was obtained from the results of the student’s questionnaire. The results of this research that teaching materials was modus with point 4 which means very valid, an average percentage readibility were 78,33%, 90.20%, 94,24% and student’s respons were 81.47%, 94.25%, 90.20%. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be concluded that teaching materials integrated with local wisdom batik tulis Tanjung Bumi Madura to support ESD are suitable for application in learning.
